Kid-Key-Lock 1.7

Imagine this situation if you will. Your family comes over on Sunday, your very young nephews included. Your family asks you to set the kids in front of your computer and let them see a movie. But you now better than that. What if they start to press the keys on the keyboard at random, or start clicking this and that. They could delete something you need, or god knows what else. You need an application to put your mind at ease, an application that will prevent those pesky children from doing harm.

One such application is the 100dof-developed Kid-Key-Lock. With this application you can lock specific keyboard and mouse functions. To be more precise you can do the following:

- Lock left, middle, and right mouse button
- Lock double click
- Lock mouse wheel
- Lock standard character keys on the keyboard
- Lock additional keys (navigation keys, function keys, Home, End, and so on) on the keyboard
- Lock Windows system shortcuts like Alt + Tab, Start button, and so on.
- Lock all keys on the keyboard
- Use the mouse to deactivate Kid-Key-Lock when the keyboard is locked. Type in a password to deactivate Kid-Key-Lock when both the mouse and the keyboard are locked.

Getting back to the “nephews have to see a movie” example, you could launch the movie, lock down your keyboard and mouse, and let them enjoy the movie. You can go talk to your relatives safe in the knowledge that those little rascals won’t be able to do something you will regret.
